NO CULTURE, BUT A LOT OF CLASS

Last night I made homemade ricotta cheese for the first time, which is totally tasty and awesome.

Everyone should try it at least once, since it's so easy.  I used directions from Epicurious.

Some folks say you shouldn't really call it ricotta, because there is no "culture" added.  Instead, it actually is paneer, an ancient cheese from India.

No matter; every bite is extra special simply because I made it myself!

  2. I remember my dad making cottage cheese years ago. That's what I like about the internet you can look up about any recipe you want to and make it! Have a great Sunday.

  3. Hey Mornin Glorie...I like the name paneer better anyway - much classier!  I came by because I filled the birdfeeders here at work this morning - and the Chickdees are so very thankful ... O.K....I'm going home to make cheese now - thanks!!!!!
