BROWNING IT UP
The first thing I like to do when prepping for an occasion is to get the basics covered. I love being able to go the freezer and pull out already-cut or already-browned food that is ready to throw into the pot. Year-round, I do this with ground beef, onions, and celery.
Because the local store had ground beef on a one-day sale, I bought 10 pounds and browned it when I got home. Now I can easily make sloppy joes, Mulligan stew, tacos, etc. when I'm in a pinch for time.
The onions and celery are next!
