TAILGATES

Are you aware of the small tab at the base of a car’s rearview mirror?  This is to allow the driver to easily flip the mirror downward when driving at night, to reduce headlight glare in the driver’s eyes.

Sometimes when I’m driving at night, a half-crazed driver comes right up to my back bumper and tailgates me.  It’s usually a pickup, of course—a big one.  The headlights in my mirror seem like a huge locomotive is bearing down on us at terrifying speed.

When I get totally disgusted with being blinded by this type of obnoxious driver, I spitefully reach up and flip that mirror.

I think to myself,

“Ah HA, take THAT!  That will show you!”  (maniacal laughter)
Didn’t think I had it in me, did you?
How does that make you feel, eh????   Heh-heh-heh-heh.”

Great satisfaction.

Last night for the first time, I realized, “You know, don’t you, they most surely don’t even know you’re doing that…….”
